A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Arlillian Kate Bushelon is the daughter of the late Aubrey Bushelon — founder of Bushelon Funeral Home, Inc. — and Mrs. LeVoria O. Bushelon, President and Owner. For eleven years she has led daily operations of one of Alabama's most respected family-owned funeral homes as Secretary and Treasurer, guiding strategy, marketing, and community engagement while preserving the legacy her father built in 1976.
A licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for fifteen years, she holds an MBA in Management from Strayer University, a BBA in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University, and professional designations as a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, Certified Funeral Service General Manager, and Certified Cremation Operator.
Beyond funeral service, she founded the West End Food Truck Park to lift Black-owned small businesses and reinvest in her community — supporting scholarships, youth athletics, financial literacy, and school technology. Her leadership has been recognized nationally as a cover feature of American Funeral Director magazine, among Birmingham Business Journal's 40 Under 40, and as a Woman to Watch by The Birmingham Times.
"The standard was never simply about titles. The standard was service."
